I have been wearing my first 2 pairs of Merino work socks ever since I first travelled in a motor home around your beautiful New Zealand Islands during May June July 2014. I have of course washed them a couple of times (more like 10 times since then). I confess I am a 'sockolic' when it comes to working socks for boots and wellies. My reasons are simple but important when considering buying working socks. I have been in either full time farming, gardening for over 35 years until I retired in 2014, so I have gotten through them pretty quick. I am also a serious walker. My experiences of most 'working sock' manufacturers is they make fantastic claims of durability, comfort, no holes even when heavily used and no shrinkage when washed. I have bought dozens of socks over the years with most proving to be just the opposite of manufacturers claims. Until one magical day I discovered what I call my Cosy Toes Socks for Blokes. These socks are magic they are indeed incredibly comfortable, warm; they stay up when worn with Wellies (imagine that thrill of not having to stop to pull them back up when you are working on your farm or property). Also in my case wearing my socks on 25 km walks across all types of country and terrain with no sweaty feet or blisters after walking all day in my heavy leather walking boots . These socks are also magic because they never smell. I know this is an unpopular subject guys but you probably don't have to wash them! Once washed (or not depending on your hygiene regime guys) you can even wear them in bed (I do as I live in Southern Tasmania and it's pretty cold in winter. Wearing these in bed is also cheaper and kinder on the planet!. I cannot recommend these socks highly enough they are brilliant. My first 2 pairs are still going strong since early 2014. No holes; no shrinkage; No blisters; No riding down below your ankles! Sheer luxury. So if you are a person who works outdoors and wears boots and/or wellies or does a lot of walking these socks are a 'I cannot live without this item". I promise you once you buy your first pair you will never buy another brand of working boot socks. I haven't bought Cosy Toes other models of dress socks etc (YET) but if they are made to the same high quality as my working socks-go for your life! You can even buy them for your baby and grandkids. Buy for someone who would love and appreciate the best socks in the world. I have just bought 2 pairs recently for my pommie mate Steve - its his 50th birthday (plumber). He lives in the North of England (really really damp cold winters and the summers are not much better). He borrowed mine while visiting last year and wouldn't take them off until he left. I also introduced him to the wonders of Merino and possum jumpers. I hope he recommends the socks and Cosy Toes website to his mates. So easy to buy on line. Hassle free and Tracy bless her even sent my mate a birthday card with his new socks. Thanks a million Tracy. Your warm Aussie customer Steve T. Tasmania
